Embark on a transformative journey with our Diploma in Somatology. Over three years, you’ll master holistic beauty, aesthetics, and wellness treatments, gaining expertise in everything from basic salon services to advanced spa and aesthetic techniques. With a strong foundation in the science behind these treatments, you’ll be prepared to excel and compete in the dynamic beauty industry. Upon completion, you’ll be ready for diverse roles such as a Somatologist in salons, spas, and aesthetic clinics, or pursue your own entrepreneurial journey in the beauty industry.
Who should enrol?
- Have a passion for the beauty industry, and wish to deepen their expertise
- Enjoy working with people and are focused on the holistic treatment of body and skin
- Are nail technicians or make-up artists looking to expand their qualifications
- Are massage or holistic therapists seeking to enhance and formalise their skills
Admission requirements
- A NSC with a diploma pass (D) or an equivalent local school leaving qualification such as an NCV with diploma admission
- Alternatively, in the case of international school leaving qualifications, a SAQA level 4 evaluation
Skills you will have after completing this programme
- You will obtain a complete set of skills necessary to perform basic treatments within a salon, advanced skill, to work with electrical equipment and spa therapies as well as aesthetic skills. You will also develop skills to promote yourself as an entrepreneur in establishing your own business and sell yourself.
