This dual-purpose Higher Certificate in Accounting introduces fundamental accounting and business management concepts, including business literacy, payroll, and SARS returns. It’s also a pathway to degree studies in accounting or related fields, making it ideal for those interested in finance careers. After completion, you’ll possess entry level working knowledge of accounting, management accounting, Payroll and SARS returns, business management and financial literacy. This qualification is ideally suited to prepare you for roles such as Junior Accountant, Payroll Officer, Accounts Administrator, or Bookkeeper.

Admission requirements
- NSC (National Senior Certificate) (Gr 12) with admission to Higher Certificate studies OR
- NCV (National Certificate Vocational) with the minimum requirements for entrance to Higher Certificate studies
- For international school leaving certifications, a USAf equivalence certificate is required.
